Chhabilal Joshi and Ram Bahadur Khanal post bail



KATHMANDU: Former DIG Chhabilal Joshi and Ram Bahadur Khanal, accused in the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case, have posted bail via bank guarantees.

Following the Kaski District Court’s order to release all seven accused on bail, Joshi deposited Rs 8.8 million, while Khanal submitted Rs 1.5 million as bail.

Similarly, Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane also deposited Rs 6.5 million via a bank guarantee. The court, presided over by Judge Nitij Rai, issued the release order on Thursday evening after a week-long detention hearing.
