POKHARA: Three of the seven individuals arrested in connection with embezzlement and fraud charges at Pokhara-based Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperative have been released on bail.

The Kaski District Court, presided over by Judge Nitij Rai, ordered the release of former UML provincial assembly member Meena Gurung, her father Krishna Bahadur Gurung, and Aarti Gurung on Thursday evening after they fulfilled their bail requirements.

The court had earlier set bail amounts for all seven accused, including Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Ravi Lamichhane.

Leela Pachhain, a close associate of Gorkha Media Network Chairman GB Rai, failed to post the required bail amount and was sent to prison.
