Man arrested in Lalitpur for offering fake jobs in Poland



KATHMANDU: A 36-year-old man, Rupesh Maharjan from Lalitpur Metropolitan City-6, was arrested by the police for allegedly scamming two victims by promising to send them to Poland for foreign employment.

Maharjan is accused of taking Rs 100,000 from the victims, claiming he would facilitate their employment in Poland, but then became unreachable.

Based on the victims’ complaint, the police from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, apprehended him in Dhobighat, Lalitpur.

The police have sent Maharjan to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal for further investigation and legal action.
