Harka Sampang warns Nepal cannot progress without visionary leadership

KATHMANDU: Harka Sampang, Chair of the Shram Sanskriti Party and Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, said Nepal cannot progress without a leadership with a clear vision.

Speaking at a party program held on Monday in Sifal, Kathmandu, Sampang criticized leaders lacking a defined vision, saying their repeated tenure has hindered the country’s development. He stressed the need for in-depth discussions on the type of leadership required to move the nation forward.

Sampang accused self-centered leaders of prioritizing personal gains over national interests, leading to unequal treaties and agreements. He outlined the Shram Sanskriti Party’s policy to mobilize the country’s youth for national development.

He warned that if his party, after winning a majority, fails to implement significant changes within five years, citizens may consider renouncing their nationality and seeking refuge elsewhere.

Sampang also cautioned that anyone joining the party with corrupt intentions would be immediately expelled.
