NEPSE drops as share prices of 147 companies go down



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a decline on Monday, with 147 listed companies experiencing a drop in share prices. The NEPSE index fell by 3.02 points, reflecting the overall negative trend.

Despite the decline, 99 companies recorded gains while 12 companies’ share prices remained unchanged. Total trading reached Rs 4.66 billion, but market capitalization fell by 0.11 percent following the index drop.

Sector-wise, sub-indices for hydropower, life insurance, production & processing, non-life insurance, and trading were positive, while all other sectors ended in the negative zone.
