Assistant Sub-Inspector arrested for allegedly killing his four-month-old son



KATHMANDU: Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Nepal Police Pushkar Karki has been arrested on the charge of killing his own four-month-old son.

According to Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Karki was arrested from Nagdhunga while fleeing after allegedly murdering his infant son at Sinamangal, Kathmandu.

“We have arrested ASI Karki from Nagdhunga while he was on the run after killing his son. Further investigation is underway,” SP Bhattarai said.

Police said Karki strangled his son inside his rented room in Sinamangal. The motive behind the killing is yet to be determined, and police have stated that the cause will be revealed after further investigation.
