KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released today’s foreign exchange rates. According to the rates fixed by the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at 143 rupees 68 paisa, while the selling rate is 144 rupees 28 paisa.
The buying rate for one European euro has been set at 167 rupees 28 paisa and the selling rate at 167 rupees 98 paisa. Similarly, one UK pound sterling trades at a buying rate of 191 rupees 53 paisa and a selling rate of 192 rupees 33 paisa. The buying and selling rates for one Swiss franc are 178 rupees 57 paisa and 179 rupees 32 paisa respectively.
Likewise, the buying rate for one Australian dollar is 95 rupees 40 paisa, with a selling rate of 95 rupees 80 paisa. One Canadian dollar is valued at a buying rate of 104 rupees 04 paisa and a selling rate of 104 rupees 43 paisa. The Singapore dollar’s buying rate is 110 rupees 86 paisa, while its selling rate is 111 rupees 33 paisa.
For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is 9 rupees 25 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 29 paisa. One Chinese yuan trades at 20 rupees 32 paisa for buying and 20 rupees 41 paisa for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at 38 rupees 28 paisa for buying and 38 rupees 44 paisa for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at 39 rupees 43 paisa for buying and 39 rupees 59 paisa for selling.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is 4 rupees 51 paisa, with a selling rate of 4 rupees 53 paisa. One UAE dirham trades at 39 rupees 12 paisa for buying and 39 rupees 28 paisa for selling. The Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at 34 rupees 95 paisa for buying and 35 rupees 10 paisa for selling.
Similarly, the buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean won are 9 rupees 75 paisa and 9 rupees 79 paisa respectively. One Swedish kronor trades at 15 rupees 28 paisa for buying and 15 rupees 35 paisa for selling, while one Danish kronor stands at 22 rupees 40 paisa for buying and 22 rupees 49 paisa for selling.
The NRB has also set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at 18 rupees 46 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 53 paisa. One Kuwaiti dinar carries a buying rate of 468 rupees 06 paisa and a selling rate of 470 rupees 01 paisa.
The Bahraini dinar trades at 381 rupees 11 paisa for buying and 382 rupees 70 paisa for selling, while the Omani rial has been fixed at 373 rupees 18 paisa for buying and 374 rupees 74 paisa for selling. The buying rate for one hundred Indian rupees is 160 rupees, with a selling rate of 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The central bank has noted that these rates may be revised at any time as needed. Commercial banks may quote slightly different rates, and the latest updates will be available on the central bank’s official website.
