Nepal falls to South Africa in Hong Kong Sixes



KATHMANDU: Nepal suffered a 4-wicket defeat against South Africa in the Hong Kong Sixes Cricket Tournament.

Chasing Nepal’s target of 59 runs, South Africa reached the mark in just 3.4 overs, losing 2 wickets in the process. Blake Simpson was the top scorer for South Africa, remaining unbeaten on 30 runs.

For Nepal, Lokesh Bam was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 wickets.

Batting first after losing the toss, Nepal was bundled out for 58 runs in 3.3 overs. Rashid Khan led the scoring with 16 runs, while Lokesh Bam contributed 14 and Adil Alam added 13. South Africa’s Abdullah Bayomi, Blake Simpson, and Zorick van Saakwijk took 2 wickets each.

This marks Nepal’s second consecutive loss in the tournament, following their earlier defeat against Afghanistan.
