KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Malaysia on home soil to win the five-match T20 series 3–2. In the final match, Nepal successfully chased Malaysia’s target of 104 runs, winning by five wickets.
Puja Mahato and Rubi Podar played key roles in Nepal’s victory. Mahato scored 23 runs off 24 balls, while Podar made 26 runs off 24 balls. Samjhana Kumari Khadka added 10 runs from 13 balls, Kabita Kunwar scored 14 off 19, and captain Indu Verma contributed 8 runs from 13 deliveries.
Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first at the home ground, Yomari Mass Oval, Malaysia scored 103 runs for six wickets. Winder Dania top-scored with 40 runs, and Mahira Izzai made 19.
For Nepal, Rajmati Airee took three wickets, conceding 15 runs in three overs. Kabita Kunwar claimed two wickets for 16 runs in four overs, while Rachana Kumari Chaudhary took one wicket.
