Cabinet decides to form probe committee on Gen Z protest violence



KATHMANDU: The cabinet meeting held on Monday has decided to form a probe committee to investigate the violent incidents during the Gen Z protests.

The meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar concluded that a committee would be set up today to look into Monday’s demonstrations and related violence.

“A probe committee will be formed today. The Home Minister has already submitted his resignation. A new Home Minister will likely be appointed tomorrow,” a cabinet minister told Khabarhub. “Discussions are ongoing regarding the structure and leadership of the committee.”
