Gen Z protestors enter Parliament Building in New Baneshwor



KATHMANDU: Gen Z protestors have entered the Federal Parliament building in New Baneswor after breaking through a police cordon.

They climbed over the main gate and forced their way into the premises, breaching security barriers.

In response, police are currently using tear gas in an effort to control the situation.

Earlier, tension flared in New Baneshwor today as Gen-Z protesters clashed with police after attempting to breach the restricted zone.

The youths, who had marched in a rally from Maitighar Mandala, tried to push through security barriers, prompting police to respond with baton charges. The confrontation led to brief scuffles and chaos in the area.

Authorities have deployed additional security personnel in the Baneshwor area, a politically sensitive zone near Parliament, to prevent further escalation.
