Four-wheelers banned from Sharada Barrage due to increased water flow in Mahakali River



KARNALI: Four-wheelers have been banned from the Sharada Barrage following a surge in water flow in the Mahakali River.

According to Sagar Bohara, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, the ban was imposed after the water flow in the Mahakali reached 103,000 cubic feet per second (cusecs).

Normally, four-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from crossing the barrage when the water flow in the Mahakali River reaches 100,000 cusecs. The river’s flow continues to rise.
