Morang district declared fully immunized



BIRATNAGAR: Morang has officially been declared a fully immunized district. The announcement was made during a program organized by the District Health Office on Monday.

According to the Health Office, a total of 16,551 infants under 15 months of age and 44,034 children aged 16 to 59 months were vaccinated across 159 wards during the fiscal year 2081/82. With these numbers, the district has met the criteria for full immunization.

Ajamba Rai, Chief of the District Coordination Committee, urged stakeholders to continue efforts to maintain the district’s fully immunized status.

Health Office Chief and committee member secretary Sagar Prasai, Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav, and other officials stated that the district has fulfilled the necessary requirements outlined in the Full Immunization Assurance and Sustainability Guidelines.

They emphasized that the vaccination campaign will continue in the coming days to ensure sustained protection for all children in the district.
