Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official exchange rates for foreign currencies for today (Tuesday).

According to the central bank, the value of most major foreign currencies—including the US dollar, euro, British pound, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar—has increased. However, a few currencies, such as the Australian dollar, have become slightly cheaper.

Today, the buying rate for one US dollar is 137 rupees 07 paisa, while the selling rate is 137 rupees 67 paisa. Although the US dollar remained relatively stable yesterday, it has increased in value today.

Yesterday, the buying rate was 136 rupees 34 paisa and the selling rate was 136 rupees 94 paisa.

Similarly, the euro has risen in value. Today, the buying rate for one euro is 160 rupees 73 paisa and the selling rate is 161 rupees 43 paisa. Yesterday, the rates were 160 rupees 59 paisa and 161 rupees 30 paisa respectively.

The British pound has also seen a slight increase. Today, the buying rate is 186 rupees 58 paisa and the selling rate is 187 rupees 40 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 186 rupees 15 paisa and the selling rate was 186 rupees 97 paisa.

In contrast, the Australian dollar has weakened. Today, the buying rate is 89 rupees 10 paisa and the selling rate is 89 rupees 49 paisa. Yesterday, it was 89 rupees 34 paisa for buying and 89 rupees 74 paisa for selling.

The Kuwaiti dinar continues to strengthen. Today, the buying rate is 448 rupees 88 paisa and the selling rate is 450 rupees 84 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 447 rupees 16 paisa and the selling rate was 449 rupees 13 paisa.

Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has also appreciated. Today, the buying rate is 363 rupees 61 paisa and the selling rate is 365 rupees 20 paisa. Yesterday’s rates were 361 rupees 64 paisa for buying and 363 rupees 24 paisa for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the latest official figures are available on the central bank’s website.
