2 women killed, 1 injured in Dolakha jeep accident



DOLAKHA: Two women were killed and one person injured in a Bolero jeep accident in Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-4, Depung, Dolakha.

According to the District Police Office, Dolakha, the vehicle (Ba 16 Cha 7651) was en route from Singati Bazaar in Kalinchowk Rural Municipality to Jhanku when it lost control and veered off the road on Friday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Dolma Sherpa, 32, and Phulmaya Sherpa, 45, both residents of the same locality. Police Inspector Shriram Timalsina confirmed that both women died during treatment at the Pashupati Chaulagain Memorial Hospital in Charikot.

Another passenger, who sustained injuries in the accident, is currently receiving treatment at Rolwaling Community Hospital.

The vehicle was reportedly carrying six passengers at the time of the accident. Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
