Police make eight suspects public in Rinku Kumari Sada case



SIRAHA: The District Police Office, Siraha, has publicly revealed the identities of eight individuals allegedly involved in the gang rape and suspected death of 17-year-old Rinku Kumari Sada of Bhagawatipur, Nawaraj Rural Municipality-1.

A total of eight arrests have been made so far, while four other suspects remain at large, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Birendra Kumar Paswan.

Among the accused, Rupesh Mandal is considered the mastermind behind the crime, while Nathuni Shah, a ward member, allegedly participated in an informal panchayat mediation that pressured the victim to settle the case internally.

The others arrested for their role in the mediation include Ram Kripal Mandal, Bindeshwor Shah, Rajendra Mandal, Chandeshwor Mandal, Rambinod Mandal, and Kamalesh Das.

Police reports indicate that Chandeshwor, Ram Binod, and Kamalesh were arrested on February 23, while Rupesh Mandal was taken into custody on March 5. The remaining suspects were tracked down and arrested on Friday from various hideouts.

The case is currently under investigation, with authorities working to apprehend the remaining fugitives.
