Partly cloudy skies prevail as westerly winds affect the country

KATHMANDU: Westerly winds are affecting weather patterns across the country, bringing partly cloudy skies to most provinces, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported.

Fog has been reported in one or two areas of the Terai in Koshi, Madhes, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while mist is observed in some parts of the rest of the Terai and the valleys.

This afternoon, most parts of the country are expected to remain partly cloudy. Tonight, hilly areas of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as Gandaki Province, will likely remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the Terai is expected to stay mostly clear.

Light rain or snowfall may occur in one or two locations in the mountainous regions of Gandaki Province.
