KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 141.49 and the selling rate at Rs 142.09.
Similarly, one euro is being bought at Rs 162.93 and sold at Rs 163.62, while the buying and selling rates for one British pound sterling stand at Rs 185.17 and Rs 185.95, respectively. The buying rate for one Swiss franc is Rs 174.91, and the selling rate is Rs 175.65.
The buying and selling rates for other major currencies are as follows: the Australian dollar at Rs 92.10 and Rs 92.49, the Canadian dollar at Rs 100.36 and Rs 100.78, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 108.40 and Rs 108.86.
For Asian currencies, the rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.20 (buying) and Rs 9.24 (selling), while one Chinese yuan trades at Rs 19.87 and Rs 19.95. The Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 37.73 and Rs 37.89, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 38.82 and Rs 38.99.
According to NRB, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.37 and sold at Rs 4.39, one UAE dirham at Rs 38.52 and Rs 38.69, and one Malaysian ringgit at Rs 33.83 and Rs 33.97.
Similarly, 100 South Korean won are valued at Rs 9.78 (buying) and Rs 9.82 (selling), while one Swedish krona trades at Rs 14.82 and Rs 14.89. The exchange rate for the Danish krone is Rs 21.82 (buying) and Rs 21.91 (selling).
The NRB has also set the buying and selling rates for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.20 and Rs 18.28, one Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 460.64 and Rs 462.59, one Bahraini dinar at Rs 375.31 and Rs 376.90, and one Omani rial at Rs 367.49 and Rs 369.05. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
The central bank has stated that these rates are subject to revision as required. Exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the NRB’s official website.
