Shekhar supports Gen-Z, warns government to listen or face regret

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has expressed support for the Gen-Z movement, urging the government to heed the voices of the youth.

In a Facebook post, he said, “The talented Gen-Z youth, who want to contribute while staying in the country, are taking to the streets against the government’s social media shutdown. The government’s approach differs from their thinking.”

Koirala emphasized the need for the government to listen and adapt, warning, “Otherwise, there will be no option but to regret it later.”

The statement comes amid nationwide protests by Gen-Z youth against the recent social media regulation measures.
