Ministry urges against VPN use, confirms listing of Hamro Patro and Global Diary



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has confirmed that two platforms, Hamro Patro and Global Diary, have been officially listed.

In a press statement on Sunday, ministry spokesperson Gajendra Kumar Thakur said that the platforms were listed and that two other social media companies, X and WeChat, had requested information for the listing process, which the ministry has already provided.

The statement also urged the public not to use unsafe and risky virtual private networks (VPNs) to access restricted social media platforms.
