Mayor Balen expresses support for Gen-Z protest



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has expressed support for the upcoming ‘Gen-Z protest’ scheduled for Monday.

The new generation, identifying as ‘Gen-Z,’ is set to launch demonstrations against political corruption and mismanagement, beginning at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor and Maitighar Mandala.

In a social media post, Mayor Shah voiced his full support for the protest. He also urged political parties, leaders, activists, and lawmakers not to use the spontaneous youth-led rally to serve their own interests.
