RPP youth wing condemns state funding for Tarun Dal building

KATHMANDU: The youth wing of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has strongly objected to the government’s decision to allocate state funds for the construction of a building for Nepal Tarun Dal, the youth wing of the ruling Nepali Congress.

Issuing a statement on Saturday, the Rastriya Prajatantrik Yuwa Sangh expressed serious concern over the budget allocation, calling it a blatant misuse of public funds and an example of favoritism in the name of national property protection.

“The allocation of funds from the state treasury for the construction of Nepal Tarun Dal’s office has drawn our serious attention,” the statement reads. “Party offices or organizations should be built with donations from members or well-wishers — using taxpayers’ money for such purposes is absolutely wrong and inappropriate.”

The RPP-affiliated youth organization accused the ruling party of setting a bad precedent by diverting national resources for partisan gain. It argued that such practices undermine the integrity of governance and exploit public funds for political advantage.

The controversy has sparked wider criticism, with calls growing for greater transparency and accountability in budget allocations, particularly when they involve organizations closely affiliated with political parties.
