RPP’s mass meeting to be held in Balkhu, not Bhrikutimandap

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is holding its mass assembly in Balkhu instead of Bhrikutimandap after the administration denied permission to use the original venue, citing security concerns.

The party had initially sought permission to organize the Bagmati Province-level demonstration and general meeting at Bhrikutimandap on April 8. However, authorities suggested alternative locations, including Balkhu and Sifal.

RPP Spokesperson Mohan Kumar Shrestha confirmed the venue change and urged supporters to continue the movement in a disciplined and strategic manner.

“The demonstration and general meeting scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) will now be held in Balkhu after the administration refused permission for Bhrikutimandap, citing security reasons,” he said.

“The government’s stance shows that our movement is gaining momentum. Let us move forward gradually and in an organized way.”
