Westerly winds affecting weather across Nepal

KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing a general influence of westerly winds.

Weather conditions in the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces are partly cloudy, while mist and fog are prevailing in some areas of the Terai.

The rest of the country is mostly clear, according to a bulletin issued by the Weather Forecasting Division on Friday.

In its 24-hour warning and advisory, the Division stated, “Mist and fog are likely to occur in the Terai areas in the morning.”

“As this may impact daily life, health, and both road and air transport, it is advised to take necessary precautions and measures to mitigate potential effects.”
