Nepal Police arrest 53 people in online gambling raid



KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested 53 individuals, including two Indian nationals, for allegedly operating an online casino from a call center in Satdobato.

According to CIB spokesperson DSP Hobindra Bogati, the arrests were made in connection with running an online casino gambling operation.

An ongoing investigation is being carried out, and further inquiries will be conducted after obtaining an extension of custody from the court today.

The authorities also seized 85 laptops and 82 mobile phones from the suspects, who are found to be involved in illegal activities such as online gambling.
