KATHMANDU: The epicenter of the earthquake felt in Nepal this morning has been confirmed to be in Dinggye County, Tibet, located on the Nepal-China border.
According to the Department of Mines and Geology, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the region at 6:50 AM on Tuesday morning.
The tremors were felt across most parts of Nepal, with significant shaking reported in the Tibetan region as well as from the eastern to central areas of Nepal.
Details regarding the damage caused by the earthquake are yet to be received.
Local authorities are working to gather more information.
