Seven vehicles involved in single crash in Dhunibesi, Dhading



MALEKHU: Seven vehicles were involved in a single accident at Chaalise, Dhunibesi–6, along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading on Saturday.

According to the District Police Office, the incident involved a school bus, three other buses, two trucks, and a motorcycle. Police said the accident occurred after the brakes of an Indian-number-plated truck failed, causing it to collide with the vehicles ahead.

Police personnel and local residents are currently carrying out rescue operations at the site. The accident has completely blocked traffic along the highway.

Journalist Ashish Thakuri, reporting from the scene, said that most passengers aboard two of the buses sustained injuries. The injured have been rescued and taken to nearby health facilities and to Kathmandu. Police are working to remove the damaged vehicles and reopen the road.
