NPL: Pokhara Avengers faces 121-run victory target



KATHMANDU: Pokhara Avengers has faced a victory target of 121 runs in the second match of the ongoing second edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Saturday.

In the match played at Kirtipur-based TU International Cricket Ground, Chitwan Rhinos gave 121 runs target to rival Pokhara Avengers. Chitwan, which chose batting first by winning a toss, made 120 runs in 20 overs at the loss of six wickets.

Dev Khanal made highest score- 35 runs while Alpesh Ramjani 33 runs.

Dhananjaya Lakshan of Pokhara Avengers took three wickets.

Today’s match is of prestige for the Chitwan and Pokhara which have been exited from the play off. Both teams have made four points each from six matches in the ongoing series.

Earlier, in the first match played today itself, team Biratnagar had defeated team Sudurpaschim by six wickets.
