President urges broad support to ensure successful March 5 HoR elections

PATAN: President Ram Chandra Paudel has said that development capable of improving the living standards of citizens is the nation’s foremost need.

Speaking at a special ceremony to inaugurate the newly constructed administrative building of Lalitpur Metropolitan City today, the President stressed the need for effective service delivery and good governance.

“It is the responsibility of public servants to listen to and address the concerns of citizens,” he said. “Democracy is not just a system of governance; it is a culture of hearing public voices and delivering according to their aspirations. Political leadership must transform itself in line with the expectations and aspirations of the new generation.”

Stating that the younger generation seeks transparency and better governance, President Paudel called on all stakeholders to extend support for the successful conduct of the House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5, 2026.

He said that ensuring credible and peaceful elections would help address the sentiments of the youth and guide the country toward a way out of the current political situation by further strengthening the Constitution and the federal democratic republic system.
