Gold price reaches Rs 233,100 per tola



KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the domestic market has surged by nearly Rs 10,000 per tola following the Dashain festival, reaching an all-time high, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

Gold trading had remained steady during the Dashain holidays, but prices saw a sharp adjustment afterward. On Monday, the price of fine gold reached Rs 233,100 per tola, up by Rs 9,900 compared to the rate before the festival.

Meanwhile, silver prices have also increased after Dashain. Silver rose by Rs 150 per tola, from Rs 2,810 per tola before the festival to Rs 2,960 per tola on Monday. Compared to the previous day, silver rose by Rs 30.
