Monsoon impact lingers, rain likely in some provinces



KATHMANDU: The monsoon system continues to influence weather conditions across Nepal.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, skies will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.

There is a chance of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, including hilly and Terai regions.

Tonight, similar conditions are expected, with general cloud cover over Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, and partial cloudiness elsewhere. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few hilly and Terai areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
