Wet Wednesday ahead as rain expected in hills and Terai



KATHMANDU: Showers are set to linger across much of the country today with the Weather Forecasting Division predicting continued rainfall in various regions during both the afternoon and night.

This afternoon, the weather will remain mostly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province, while the rest of the country will experience generally cloudy conditions.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few other areas across the country. Additionally, one or two locations in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience heavy rainfall.

Tonight, the skies will remain generally cloudy throughout the country. Moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly areas, particularly in Koshi Province, and in a few locations across the Terai region. One or two places in Koshi Province may also see heavy rainfall.

The Division has clarified that the term “afternoon” refers to the period before 6 PM, while “night” covers the time from 6 PM to 6 AM the following day.
