Dacoits kill one, loot property in Jhapa



KATHMANDU: A group of dacoits raided a house in Suryodaya Municipality–8, Jhapa, on Thursday night, looting property and killing one person in the process.

According to police, the gang forcefully entered the residence of Kantlal Chaudhary, looted valuables including cash and jewelry, and fatally attacked Chaudhary.

His brother, Ramakant Chaudhary, sustained injuries during the incident and is currently undergoing treatment.

The police confirmed that gold and silver ornaments, along with a significant amount of cash, were stolen from the house. Search efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects involved in the crime.
