Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official exchange rates for foreign currencies for today (Friday).

According to the central bank, the value of several major foreign currencies, including the US dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar, has declined. In contrast, the Australian dollar, euro, and British pound have seen slight increases.

As per the latest rates, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 136.97, and the selling rate is NPR 137.57. On Thursday, the buying and selling rates were NPR 137.15 and NPR 137.75, respectively.

The euro is trading at a buying rate of NPR 156.45 and a selling rate of NPR 157.13, compared to NPR 156.12 and NPR 156.81 yesterday.

Likewise, the British pound is being bought at NPR 185.87 and sold at NPR 186.68, up from yesterday’s rates of NPR 185.41 and NPR 186.22.

The Australian dollar’s buying rate today is NPR 89.14 and the selling rate is NPR 89.53, slightly higher than Thursday’s rates of NPR 88.83 and NPR 89.21.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar is trading at NPR 446.64 (buying) and NPR 448.59 (selling), down from NPR 447.48 and NPR 449.44 the previous day.

SImilarly, the Bahraini dinar is also slightly lower, with a buying rate of NPR 363.30 and a selling rate of NPR 364.89. Yesterday, the rates were NPR 363.79 and NPR 365.38.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates may be revised as needed. It also reminded that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
