Demands of agitating school teachers should be met: Prachanda



KATHMANDU: Chair of CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the demands of the agitating schoolteachers should be addressed sooner.

Addressing the training gathering of Newa: Mukti Morcha in Kathmandu today, the Maoist Centre Chairman stated that his party is with the schoolteachers in regard to meeting their demands.

Likewise, he shared that discussions are ongoing about the opposition party’s role to pile pressure on the government for addressing the teachers’ concerns.

The teachers of the community schools from across the country was taking to the streets in the capital city for a week pressurizing the government to issue the Federal Education Act.
