RPP chair Rajendra Lingden demands PM Oli’s resignation

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chair Rajendra Lingden has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, citing poor performance in governance.

Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, Lingden stated that the performance evaluation of the Prime Minister and ministers had been made public, and Oli had failed to secure a passing score.

“Who will take action against the ministers who performed poorly?” Lingden questioned. “The government has punished innocent employees while favoring those close to them. It should resign on moral grounds.”

Although both Lingden and Oli hail from Jhapa, their political alliance has shown cracks in recent months.

Despite RPP and UML collaborating in the 2022 elections, Lingden has increasingly voiced dissatisfaction with the government’s actions.
