KATHMANDU: Metropolitan City Ward No. 5, have been designated as one-way routes in an effort to improve traffic management, roads in Handigaun, Kathmandu,
Ward Chair Birendra Prajapati stated that the new system has helped streamline movement and made local life easier.
To ensure effective implementation, a transportation and traffic monitoring team has been deployed, conducting on-site inspections and surveillance through CCTV cameras.
Before-and-after photos of key areas, such as Krishna Mandir Chowk and Thatu Marg, indicate a reduction in traffic congestion. Locals have also responded positively to the changes.
The one-way traffic system was officially enforced on February 19 following a decision by the Building Management Committee.
Local authorities are monitoring the situation to ensure smooth implementation and address any necessary adjustments.
