Prachanda: Our party is now the number one in the country

KATHMANDU: Co-ordinator of the newly formed Nepali Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has declared that the newly unified party will emerge as the country’s leading political force.

Addressing a ceremony marking the unification of ten leftist parties, Prachanda said the party will become Nepal’s number one political organization after the upcoming elections.

“Our party is now the number one party in the country,” he said. “Some might find it hard to digest, maybe some will lose sleep, but that’s their problem.”

He added that the people will recognize the party’s self-reflection and commitment. “We must not be arrogant,” Prachanda said. “As Madhav Nepal mentioned, we will now reach out to the people, and they will make us number one.”
