One held for vandalizing Baneshwor Police Circle



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person involved in vandalism and arson at the Police Circle in New Baneshwor during the Gen Z protest on September 9.

The Kathmandu District Police Office apprehended Shivam Chaudhary (18), originally from Dhanusha district and currently residing in Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur.

Chaudhary was involved in setting fire to and vandalizing the Police Circle and the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor on September 9. He was also found to have looted and misused police uniforms.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pavan Kumar Bhattarai said further investigation into the incident is underway.
