Indian PM Modi expresses grief over losses caused by floods and landslides in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by recent floods and landslides in Nepal following heavy rainfall.

“The loss of life and damage caused by heavy rains in Nepal is distressing. We stand with the people and the Government of Nepal during this difficult time. As a friendly neighbour and first responder, India remains committed to providing any assistance that may be needed,” PM Modi wrote on his official social media platform X.
