Vehicles to be allowed to depart from Nagdhunga only before 5:00 PM

KATHMANDU: In light of the ongoing risk of floods and landslides, only long-distance night buses that reach Nagdhunga before 5:00 PM will be allowed to leave for their destinations, according to the Valley Traffic Police Office.

Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi, the office’s spokesperson, said that buses arriving at Nagdhunga after 5:00 PM will not be permitted to leave due to safety concerns, according to RSS.

“Given the continued threat of flooding and landslides, buses must reach Nagdhunga by 5:00 PM to be allowed to proceed. We have already informed the concerned transport operators accordingly,” said SP Subedi.

The Traffic Police have also urged drivers not to travel at night on their own discretion, as the risks are significantly higher.

According to authorities, more than 200 long- and short-distance vehicles had departed from Nagdhunga by Friday morning.
