Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the official foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 140.74, while the selling rate is Rs 141.34.

The euro is being bought at Rs 163.87 and sold at Rs 164.57. The buying and selling rates for one British pound are Rs 189.08 and Rs 189.89, respectively. Similarly, the Swiss franc is being traded at Rs 174.68 for buying and Rs 175.43 for selling.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 91.73 and sold at Rs 92.13. The Canadian dollar is trading at Rs 101.80 for buying and Rs 102.24 for selling. For the Singapore dollar, the rates are Rs 109.15 (buying) and Rs 109.61 (selling). Ten Japanese yen are being bought at Rs 9.49 and sold at Rs 9.53, while the Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 19.71 (buying) and Rs 19.79 (selling).

In the Gulf currencies, the Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at Rs 37.51 and sold at Rs 37.67, whereas the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 38.61 for buying and Rs 38.78 for selling. The Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.35, and the UAE dirham is priced at Rs 38.32 for buying and Rs 38.48 for selling.

Likewise, the Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 33.31 (buying) and Rs 33.45 (selling), while 100 South Korean won are valued at Rs 10.10 (buying) and Rs 10.14 (selling).

The exchange rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 18.05 (buying) and Rs 18.12 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is priced at Rs 460.22 for buying and Rs 462.18 for selling.

The Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 373.31 (buying) and Rs 374.90 (selling), while the Omani rial is being traded at Rs 365.57 (buying) and Rs 367.13 (selling). SImilarly, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. It has also clarified that commercial banks may apply slightly different rates, and the most recent updates can be accessed via the central bank’s official website.
