Rain forecast for parts of Koshi and Madhes provinces



KATHMANDU: The monsoon system continues to influence weather conditions across the country, with the monsoon low-pressure trough currently located north of its average position.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, skies will remain mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon. Moderate rainfall is expected in some areas of Koshi and Madhes provinces, and in many areas of the remaining provinces.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in parts of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two locations in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain mostly cloudy nationwide. Moderate rain is likely in many areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in some areas of other provinces.

The Department has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain parts of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
