Policies and programs based on agreement with UML: Nepali Congress

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Chief Whip Shyam Ghimire has clarified that the government’s recently announced polices and programs was prepared in line with a seven-point agreement between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.

Speaking to media at the Parliament Building in New Baneswor on Monday, Ghimire confirmed that the Nepali Congress was involved in formulating the policy and program.

He acknowledged, however, that implementation would be challenging due to limited financial resources.

Despite these constraints, Ghimire stated that there is no significant dissatisfaction within the party regarding the policy and program.

He also stressed that the upcoming budget should effectively incorporate and address the priorities outlined in the policy and program.
