Voting completes for NBA new leadership



KATHMANDU: The voting for the election to the 27th central working committee of the Nepal Bar Association (NBA) completed at 4:00 this afternoon.

Chief election Officer Senior Advocate Ramkrishna Nirala said that the voting process started at 8:00 am was completed at 4:00 this afternoon.

Senior Advocate Prof Dr Bijaya Prasad Mishra is leading the democratic, progressive, professional and inclusive panel as the candidate of NBA President while Senior Advocate Raman Kumar Shrestha, also the former attorney general, is contesting the election as the NBA President from the professional layers’ group.

Likewise, Kedar Prasad Koirala and Yagyamani Neupane are vying for the post of general secretary.

According to Nirala, 57 candidates have contested the polls for 25 posts.
The voters cast their ballot from altogether 36 voting centres across the country.
