Speaker Ghimire holding discussion with party Chief Whips



KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, has called a meeting with party chief whips at Singha Durbar at 3 pm, according to the Speaker’s Secretariat.

The meeting is scheduled to address various issues, including the ordinance, which has faced strong opposition from the opposition parties.

The meeting will be attended by Nepali Congress Chief Whip Shyam Ghimire, UML’s Mahesh Kumar Bartaula, Maoist Center’s Hitraj Pandey, and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar.

The parliamentary session will take place tomorrow (Thursday) amid ongoing differences of opinion between the ruling party and the opposition over the ordinance.
