KATHMANDU: Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has instructed party leaders to submit their property details by February 14.

Speaking at the central committee meeting in Kathmandu on Sunday, Dahal presented a report titled “Commitment to Party Transformation and Reconstruction: Today’s Need,” urging all leaders and cadres from the central to provincial levels to mandatorily disclose their property and income details within the deadline.

Dahal criticized the KP Sharma Oli-led coalition government, stating it has begun to expose its inefficiency.

He claimed the current government has failed to deliver for the people and has neglected several good governance initiatives undertaken during his administration, leading to public dissatisfaction.

In a briefing during the meeting, Dahal accused the government of discarding reforms and good governance campaigns initiated under his leadership. He added that UML’s retributive approach has hindered the conclusion of the peace process.

Addressing the size of the party’s central committee, Dahal acknowledged it as both a challenge and an opportunity. He emphasized the need for the party to balance its revolutionary identity while adapting to multi-party competition, asserting that the Maoists are currently navigating a historically challenging yet promising path.
