Kanti Highway to remain closed for 60 days from December 6 for road expansion



KATHMANDU: The Kanti Highway in Lalitpur is set to remain closed for 60 days starting December 6 to facilitate road expansion works, according to officials.

Upendra Maharjan, Information Officer and Engineer at the Kanti Highway Road Project, said the highway is undergoing an upgrade that requires rock cutting and wall excavation, necessitating partial closure.

As per the notice, the road will remain closed daily from 11 AM to 5 PM beginning December 6 for the next two months.

The Lalitpur District Administration Office has also urged commuters to use alternative routes during the construction period.
