Maoist Center to convene Central Committee meeting today



KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) is being held today at the party’s central office in Paris Danda at 1 p.m.

Today’s meeting will endorse the agreement reached among nine leftist and socialist parties, including the CPN (Unified Socialist), to unite under a single front.

The formal unification announcement is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Bhrikutimandap.

The merger involves the Maoist Center, CPN (Unified Socialist), Mahindra Raya Yadav-led Nepal Socialist Party, Raju Karki-led CPN (Socialist), Subhashraj Kafle-led Janasamajwadi Party, Chiran Pun-led CPN, Karnajit Budhathoki-led Maoist Socialist, Prem Bahadur Singh-led CPN (Samyabadi), and Gopal Kirati-led Maoist Communist Party Nepal.
