Foreign currency exchange rates set for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 141.75 and the selling rate is Rs 142.35.

Similarly, the buying rate for one euro is Rs 163.25 and the selling rate is Rs 163.94, while the buying rate for one British pound is Rs 186.19 and the selling rate is Rs 186.98. The Swiss franc is being traded at Rs 175.63 for buying and Rs 176.37 for selling.

The buying and selling rates for other major currencies are as follows: the Australian dollar at Rs 92.84 and Rs 93.23, the Canadian dollar at Rs 100.94 and Rs 101.36, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 108.75 and Rs 109.21, respectively.

For regional currencies, 10 Japanese yen are valued at Rs 9.20 for buying and Rs 9.24 for selling. One Chinese yuan is traded at Rs 19.90 (buying) and Rs 19.99 (selling), while one Saudi riyal is at Rs 37.79 and Rs 37.95, and one Qatari riyal at Rs 38.89 and Rs 39.05.

According to NRB, the buying and selling rates for other currencies are: Thai baht at Rs 4.36 and Rs 4.38, UAE dirham at Rs 38.59 and Rs 38.76, Malaysian ringgit at Rs 33.75 and Rs 33.90, 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.92 and Rs 9.96, Swedish krona at Rs 14.92 and Rs 14.98, and Danish krone at Rs 21.86 and Rs 21.95.

The Hong Kong dollar stands at Rs 18.23 for buying and Rs 18.31 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is traded at Rs 461.56 and Rs 463.51, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 375.99 and Rs 377.59, and the Omani rial at Rs 368.16 and Rs 369.72. Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees are exchanged at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

NRB has noted that these rates are subject to change as required, and commercial banks may quote slightly different rates. The latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
